Why we exist

Phones and apps change all the time, and most help is written for experts. That can leave people feeling rushed or left out.

We think everyone deserves calm, clear help: one step at a time, in plain words, with no pressure and nothing to buy.

Who we are

Steady Tap is a free collection of short, step-by-step guides for everyday technology: video calls, bigger text, spotting scams, and more.

We write for adults 65 and older and for the family members and friends who help them. Our guides use plain words, numbered steps, and a description of what you'll tap at each step.

What we are not

We offer general help, not personalized tech support. We don't give medical, legal, or financial advice. When it matters, we link to the official help pages from Apple, Google, the FTC, and others.
